Giclée* Printing
Giclée printing is a sophisticated and high-quality reproduction method that has gained widespread recognition in the world of fine art and photography. Derived from the French word "gicler," meaning to squirt or spray, giclée printing involves using specialised inkjet printers to produce archival-quality prints with exceptional colour accuracy and detail.
What sets giclée printing apart is the meticulous attention to detail and the use of pigment-based inks, which contribute to the longevity and stunning vibrancy of the prints. These inks are carefully applied in microscopic droplets, resulting in a finely textured and smooth output that faithfully captures the nuances of the original artwork or photograph.
*How to pronounce giclée...
The term "giclée" is pronounced zhee-clay. The "g" is soft, resembling the French pronunciation, and the emphasis is on the first syllable, "zhee." So, when saying it, you would sound like “zhee-clay."
